Jimmy was a dude,
he was never rude,
a kind old bloke,
who liked to joke.
He lived on the the street,
greatest guy you'll meet,
he always makes time to talk, oh.

I'd get some drinks and we'd stay up late.

Jimmy was a hero to the boys on the dock
When he danced to Mantovani and old punk rock
He used to take his ladies out to dine uptown
Now his face is in the papers when the rain comes down
In the queue for chicken soup he remembers his vow
To the lord in heaven and the ‘evil cow’
With a pound in his pocket and a boot in the past
He wonders everyday if it’ll be his last

With champagne cocktails and canapes,
Dressed in Prada with Armani shades.
He flashes several fifties, gets all he wants,
Then something rings....And his alarm goes off....

Jimmy is a place where i want to be

When Jimmy was young and he turned just 13
he had to use loads of acne cream
he had attitude was moody all the time.
But I guess this is just the teenage stage
Where you get yelled at want to run away
want to be popular and go very far
in life, thinking about girls all the time
Partying and going mad, us teenagers are really sad
